Program Note:

 

Alice in the Wind sets the words of early African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar to paint a picture of Alice, his wife, serenely exploring an open field in the hazy sunlight of an August sky. This impressionistic view of an ordinary situation will leave you wanting to be there too.
